From April 2019 all businesses with a turnover in excess of £85,000 are required to submit their VAT returns digitally to HMRC using approved software.
We are pleased to announce that Omni is now HMRC approved to carry this out.
There is no change to the main VAT process within the main program, but instead of being able to manually key the data onto the website, the new "OmniVAT" program will extract the information
straight from the main Omni program and send it digitally to HMRC.
In order to be able submit returns using Omni, clients will first be required to sign their schemes up but once a scheme is registered for MTD, it is not possible to revert back to the previous method.
